Give your clients secure access to their case information, documents, and invoices through a branded web portal.
What Clients Can Do
📁 View Case Status
See case progress, updates, and current status.
📄 Access Documents
Download documents you've shared with them.
💶 View Invoices
See invoices and payment history.
💬 Send Messages
Secure messaging with their legal team.
Enabling the Portal
- Go to Settings > Client Portal
- Toggle Enable Client Portal
- Customize your portal URL (e.g., portal.yourfirm.be)
- Upload your logo and set colors
- Configure what clients can access
Inviting Clients
Give a client portal access:
- Open the client's contact record
- Click Portal Access
- Click Send Invitation
- Client receives email with login link
- They create a password and can access their portal
💡 Tip: Clients can only see cases where they are listed as a party. They never see other clients' information.
Sharing Documents
Control which documents clients can see:
- By default, documents are internal only
- Click Share to Portal to make visible to client
- Bulk share multiple documents at once
- Set expiry dates for sensitive documents
Sharing Invoices
Invoices can be shared automatically or manually:
- Auto-share - All invoices appear in portal when sent
- Manual - Choose which invoices to share
- Configure in Settings > Client Portal > Invoices
Secure Messaging
Communicate securely with clients:
- Messages are encrypted in transit and at rest
- Attach documents to messages
- Get notifications when client replies
- Full message history saved to case

Keep clients informed automatically:

Branding
Make the portal match your firm's identity:
- Custom logo
- Brand colors
- Custom domain (portal.yourfirm.be)

Security
The client portal is secured with:
- HTTPS encryption
- Two-factor authentication (optional)
- Session timeouts
- Audit logging of all access
- IP restrictions (optional)
Mobile Access
Clients can access the portal from any device:
- Responsive design works on phones/tablets
- No app installation required
- Push notifications for important updates
